The vision of EcoCommons Australia is to give Australian practitioners and researchers access to trusted, world-leading ecological and environmental modelling tools to help protect and restore the planet.

At the launch, on 29 November 2022, the platform will provide point-and-click dashboards to run species distribution models, species trait models, climate projections, and biosecurity risk mapping.

Speakers at the launch will include Professor Hugh Possingham, former Queensland Chief Scientist, Robyn Cleland, Federal Chief Environmental Biosecurity Officer, Rosie Hicks, ARDC CEO, Elisa Bayraktarov EcoCommons Program Manager, and MC Director of the Atlas of Living Australia, Andre Zerger

These dashboard tools exemplify scalable quantitative workflows brought to you in an online platform made possible through collaboration on data sharing, infrastructure and the exchange of knowledge.

Users of EcoCommons will find ecological data more quickly and use the platform’s tools to analyse it. The platform is a great place to learn about modelling and climate change impacts on species distributions.
